I mentioned that January is the month of cleaning up for me, but it’s also the month of goals. This year I plan to organize my reading a bit.
I’m a part of this fabulous book club made up of women who come from different backgrounds, hometowns and generations. But we have one thing in common: we all love a good challenge. In January we are reading Gone Girl. I’m excited for this, but mostly because I love to chat with them about our perspectives and how it relates to the reality of our worlds. I cherish my time with my book Ladies!
Other than my book club, I plan to stretch my reading routine into other books (besides life-sucking Game of Thrones or Outlander series.) I can read a historical novel any day of the week, sci-fi count me in and I won't turn down a romance either. But certain genres I have a hard time seeking out. This year I'm going to tip toe out of my comfort zone and expand my book world, starting with these picks (click through book cover photos and author links for book reviews of each title):
Also this Book Riot 2015 challenge looks really fun if you are looking to kick your reading into gear.
